If Dinosaurs Could Talk for Me

If Dinosaurs Could Talk for Me is my debut picture book as an author-illustrator, published in 2017 by Sweetwater Books. It’s about a shy boy named Ben who draws dinosaurs to express his feelings and reach out to others, like the new girl at school. The story is very personal to me because like Ben, I find that art is the easiest way to express myself. The illustrations were executed with colored pencil and gouache, and the physical book includes a spot-gloss cover and illustrated end-papers.
